What: Beginner-friendly private dance workshop for ACHEV families at House of Dance.  This class is open to ACHEV Families, ages 11+ and includes grads and non-ACHEV siblings.  Moms & Dads, come learn some dance along with your kids.  Parents may sign up and attend as a couple and will not rotate partners during the class.  Youths will rotate partners as we usually do in class.

Who: ACHEV Families (includes parents, grads and non-ACHEV siblings).   We need an equal number boys and girls in order for the class to work.  We can keep a waitlist in case space opens up prior to the first class in a series.  Minimum of 8 students in order to hold these classes.

Guests:  Guests may be approved on a case by case basis, and as we have space. Only ACHEV Members can invite guests, and we encourage you to invite the friends and family members to you bring to our dances.  We most often need more boys in these classes, so please bring your brothers and encourage your guy-friends to come!  Please clear invited guests through Bonnie at bonnieadair@verizon.net.     Do not add any guests to the sign up sheet without approval first, and do not share the sign up sheet outside of ACHEV.

What to Bring & Wear: Bring your own water bottles.  There is no drinking fountain.  There is no special dress code, other than ACHEV’s general dress code for all events which is, “modest and appropriate for the occasion”.   Some girls choose to wear dresses and skirts, but you can wear pants or shorts.  Boys can wear pants or shorts.  Be comfortable.  If you do not have felt bottomed dance shoes, try to choose a shoe that is not grippy and rubbery on bottom like a basketball shoe.  Leather soled dress shoes or Vans-type skateboard shoes are okay.  Absolutely NO flip flops.  No sandals, no Uggs.

This is not a drop-in class.  Signing up in advance is required.  If you sign up for a class, your classmates are counting on you to be there.
