SUMMARY:Ballroom Dance Classes Ages 11+
DESCRIPTION:What: Private ballroom dance classes for ACHEV at House of Dance – Lesson for 45 minutes\, dance practice to music for 15 minutes.  Each series is 4 weeks.  Sometimes we will do one dance for two months in a row.  There are many fun dances to learn.  So far this school year\, we have learned Waltz\, Foxtrot\, and West Coast Swing. \nFebruary: We will do 4 weeks of Level II Single Time Swing.  If you have not taken single time swing classes with us before\, there is a beginner workshop for you to attend on Wednesday January 25th in order for you to be allowed to join the February series.  Sign Up For February Classes \nMarch & April: Samba for beginners.  This class has not been offered to ACHEV before\, so everyone will be a beginner.  This is a fun\, bouncy Latin dance but can be danced to a lot of pop music as well as Latin.  This class will continue for two 4-week sessions. There is no class on Wednesday March 29th since it is a 5th Wednesday\, but we are offering an East Coast Swing beginner class instead\, so go to the ACHEV calendar if you are interested in joining that. Sign Up for March & April Samba \nMay: We are planning on offering a 4 week session of Rumba.  This will also be a beginner class. Sign up for May Rumba series. \nWho: ACHEV members\, non-ACHEV siblings\, and invited homeschooling friends ages 11 and up\, and recent ACHEV grads (see note on sign up sheet).  Please clear invited homeschooling friends through Bonnie at bonnieadair@verizon.net.   Current ACHEV members are given priority on the sign up sheet.  We must have equal number boys and girls in order for the class to work.  We can keep a waitlist in case space opens up prior to the first class in a series.  Minimum of 4 boys and 4 girls in order to hold these classes.  Partners rotate throughout the class. \nWhere: House of Dance \, 3007 Bunsen Ave\, Ventura 93003   https://www.pmhouseofdance.com/ \nWhen: Wednesdays 4pm – 5:00 pm\nThere will be four classes per month. DESCRIPTION:Teen Game Club is at the Elliott Home in Camarillo this week.  Please email or text Amy Elliott with questions or to rsvp. 502-376-8317 amy649@taelliott.net \n  \nWhat: Teen directed board games.   We have tons of board games.  You are welcome to bring a favorite game from home to share with the group as well.  They usually start out with board games and will migrate towards group role play games at the end of the afternoon.  They have a lot of fun.  We have snacks\, so feel free to bring one to share but it is not needed so don’t stress about bringing something. \nWho: ACHEV members 6th Grade and up\, recent ACHEV grads. \nRSVP: Is needed so that I can make sure we have enough chairs and tables out\, or in case we need to change the host home in case of illness\, etc. \n502-376-8317 amy649@taelliott.net \nDrop off is okay for this event.  Feel free to go home or run errands\, etc.  If parents prefer to stay\, that is welcome as well\, and if you have younger children with you they can stay also.  Please let me know if you will be bringing younger children with you so I can plan something for our younger kids to do together while the teens have their game time. \nWe usually have teen game club every 2nd and 4th Monday in Camarillo.

DESCRIPTION:This is lots of fun\, please join us.  Sign up asap to reserve your spot\, we are limited to 17 shooters.    I will be turning in our final numbers on Saturday Feb 11th so that they can schedule the right number of instructors for us.  The deadline to Sign up is Friday Feb 10\, 2023.   Thanks =) \nWhat: Private Group Archery Lesson \nWhere: Conejo Valley Archers.  Simi Valley\, CA in Tapo Canyon Park at: 4651 Tapo Canyon Rd\, Simi Valley\, CA 93063 https://www.cvarchers.com/directions \nWhen: Saturday\, Feb 25th\, 12:45-3pm.  Shooting time starts at 1\, but you must be there and lined up by 12:45 so that they can get us all outfitted with proper equipment and go over the rules with us. \nWho: Parents & Kids 8 years old and up (younger kids can watch only\, under parental supervision).  8  years old is the bare minimum\, but they do prefer the kids to be older.  Use parental discretion – it depends on your child’s physical strength and maturity level.  They will be holding weapons. \nYounger siblings and parents who are not shooting are welcome to attend and watch.  You must be able to keep younger kids away from the shooting line.  There are benches in the shade and some space for littles to keep occupied.  There is a playground very close as well as bathrooms. \nI need a minimum of 12\, and we can have a maximum of 17 shooters.  Parents can shoot if they want.  If you want to shoot\, your name needs to be on the sign up sheet.    If the sign up sheet is full\, please add your name to the waitlist. \nHow Much: $10 per shooter.  Please bring cash with you on the day of the field trip or you can arrange to Zelle me ahead of time or mail me a check.  Zelle: 805-504-6457  or mail check to Bonnie Adair: 174 Granada Street\, Camarillo\, 93010 \nSign Up Sheet Here \n\nYou must review this packet (attached) for all the details.  There is a liability waiver and there needs to be one for every participating person.  The medical release forms are only for minors who will be attending without their parent/legal guardian.  If your minor child is riding with a friend\, make sure to send them with these forms signed by you or they will not be allowed to participate.  Please read the special needs directive.\nPlease read the range rules and discuss with your kids/teens.\nPlease read the parking instructions.\nBring lots of water and snacks if you need them.  They will not have water available.\n\nThanks\, \nBonnie Adair \n805-504-6457
