DESCRIPTION:All members\, please come to an open house to kick off the school year! This is a great chance to learn more about the events already on the calendar\, how you can help\, and very importantly\, share what you would like to have happen in ACHEV this coming school year. The Open House portion is a window of time to drop in\, browse\, and visit. In the middle of the Open House\, we will have a meeting for everyone with a speaker to encourage us\, Q&A\, and prayer. We want to see everyone there! Bring  your calendar\, your ideas\, and your questions! \nPlan to be at the meeting\, but budget time to enjoy the open house before and/or after the meeting. There will be refreshments!

DESCRIPTION:You do not have to be an ACHEV member to attend this meeting. It is open to anyone in the community considering home education. \nYou are welcome to attend part or all of the evening! \n6:30 – 7:30: This is especially for anyone new to or considering home education\, all ages. Andie Savard will cover all the legal options for teaching at home in CA\, groups you need to know about\, how to get started\, home education styles and methods\, curriculum choices\, and more. Invite anyone interested in home education. \n7:30-8:00 – Mingle\, browse curriculum samples\, talk with the presenters one on one\, and enjoy refreshments. \n8:00-9:00 Last hour\, we DIG IN to homeschooling through high school. This is a very detailed\, in depth meeting. Cara Shelton will walk you through various strategies\, requirements for each\, and unveil the possibilities. High school can be some of the richest home education years. Invite anyone you believe may be interested in home schooling through high school. \nRSVP helpful.
