This visually spectacular production is filled with passion\, mystery\, and enchantment. Every moment is crafted to captivate young audiences and spark their imaginations.  More than just a performance\, Camelot is an inspirational\, curriculum-enhancing experience — making it a perfect field trip connection to history\, literature\, theatre\, music\, and the arts. \n  \nWho: ACHEV Students.  They recommend 3rd-8th grade but pk-12th grade permitted at parental discretion. You additionally take responsibility to ensure that the parents of students attending are aware that their kids may be photographed. We understand that some families choose not to have their kids photographed. However\, we request that you speak to your students in advance about the importance of sitting as still and as quietly as possible to respect the performers. We ask that you remove any disruptive student(s) from the theatre. We have a cry room\, which can be used for their comfort and yours so that they can watch the show without being a distraction. One of our ambassadors can help direct you to this room if needed.\n\n\nOur kids are our next generation of theatergoers\, patrons\, and artists. We appreciate you making the commitment to the arts in your classroom!\nAFTER THE SHOW\n\nDue to the urgency to clear the parking lot and buses in a timely manner following the performance\, we are unable to accommodate requests for students to stay and enjoy a sack lunch on our property. SUMMARY:Sheriff Dept Search & Rescue Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:ACHEV activities\, events\, and field trips are for ACHEV students unless otherwise noted. \nWhat: Field Trip to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Aviation/Search and Rescue Unit.  They love doing field trips and showing kids their special equipment! \n   \nThe Ventura County Aviation Unit is a combined unit consisting of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and Ventura County Fire Department.  Under the direction of a Sheriff’s Captain and a Fire Department Division Chief\, the unit responds to a variety of calls including search and rescue\, law enforcement\, medivac\, and firefighting. The staff consists of four full time pilots\, a Sheriff’s Sergeant\, two Ventura County Fire Captains\, four full time crew chiefs\, numerous collateral crew chiefs from both agencies\, and a complete mechanic staff.  Air Unit flight crews are trained in such specialties as night vision goggle operation\, scuba diving\, swift water rescue\, and emergency medical procedures.  Each day a member of the Ventura County SAR Medical Team staffs the rescue helicopter with a Flight Physician\, Flight Nurse\, or Flight Paramedic for rescue and medivac calls.   The aviation unit is staffed with two flight crews 365 days a year and available 24 hours a day from our hangar at the Camarillo Airport. https://sheriff.venturacounty.gov/special-services/air-unit/ \nThe Ventura County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue (SAR) is under the Aviation Unit and consists of highly-trained volunteers who respond to search for lost\, missing\, injured or trapped persons anywhere in the county. SUMMARY:Pumpkin Patch Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:ACHEV activities\, events\, and field trips are for ACHEV students unless otherwise noted. \n \nWhat: Join us for one of my favorite field trips of the year.  We are going to the Great Pacific Pumpkin Patch.   It is in Ventura on Olivas Park Drive\, it is not the one in Camarillo. \nWe will receive an educational pumpkin/squash talk\, a hay ride on their beautiful property while we learn a bit of the history of their farm\, a visit with the animals\, and then everyone can pick out their own pumpkins.  The hay maze is also included in the field trip fee.  Children will get to pick out one small sugar pumpkin to take home (included in $7 field trip fee). \nWho: ACHEV Members all ages\, parents & grandparents \nCost: $7 per child ages 3 and up.  $3 for every adult (pumpkin not included).  Ages 2 and under are free.   Children under 3 that do not pay $7\, do not get a sugar pumpkin included\, but you can choose and pay separately for as many additional pumpkins and squash as you like.  They take credit cards at the farm stand if you want to purchase additional pumpkins from them. \nTime: Our tour starts at 10:15.  Please arrive at 10:05 and go to the entrance to pay the field trip fees individually.  We will gather under the shade cloth near the entrance after you pay.  The tour will last about 45-60 minutes\, but plan to spend a little extra time afterwards to look at their wonderful selection of pumpkins and squash that are great for eating\, decorating and carving. \nSign Up Here by October 14th.\nAdditional Info: \n\nThey have a wide and wonderful selection of pumpkins\, squash\, gourds\, and colorful corn available for purchase.   We have been to a lot of pumpkin patches\, and this is my favorite to purchase from.  Many years they have dried out gourds to choose from and they make a really fun art project for Halloween or Thanksgiving.\nThey are dog friendly as long as your dog stays on a leash and you clean up after it.\nBring your camera!  They have a lot of good photo ops here =)\nWear good shoes.  There is a lot of dirt and some uneven ground.  Potentially mud depending on weather.\n\n

SUMMARY:Moxi Museum Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:ACHEV activities\, events\, and field trips are for ACHEV students unless otherwise noted. \nPlease join us for a fun field trip to the Moxi Museum in Santa Barbara.  This is a fun interactive science museum.  This is a self guided tour.  We have freedom to explore the museum in small groups.  It is a fun place to play and learn! \nWhen: Monday November 2\, 2026 \nTime: 10am (please arrive 15 minutes early to check in) \nWho:  ACHEV members\, all ages \nPricing: \n\nStudent Admission (ages 2+): $10\nInfants Under age 2 are free\nOptional Lab: Additional $10 – I need to know ASAP if anyone and what grade levels are interested in this option.  We need a minimum number of 10 students in a close grade range (pk-2\, 3rd-5th\, 6th-8th) to be able to add this on and I need to know before 10/19.  Labs are 50 minutes.  They limit the number adults permitted in the lab.  See lab choices here.\nChaperones: Free up to a 1:5 ratio (the first parents to sign up will have priority.  All other parents will need to pay $18)\nAdditional Chaperones: $18  (this is the group rate discount for adults\, general admission is $25)\n\nRSVP:  Sign up on the google doc by 10/18/26.  **I have already paid a deposit for this field trip and we need a minimum of 10 students in order to make it happen.  If I don’t see at least 10 students on the sign up sheet by 10/1/26\, I will need to consider canceling to get my deposit back.\nHere are some field trip guidelines for your upcoming trip: \nAll our exhibits are hands-on and interactive because MOXI is a place for exploration and discovery! Because of this\, our field trips are self-guided with floor staff “MOXI Sparks” available to assist. \nField trips typically spend about 90 minutes in the museum and have access to the entire museum. They may require us to split up into three groups. \nFood and Drink: Please have your students leave their backpacks and water bottles in the car. We do not have any area within the museum for field trips to eat lunch. Most of our field trips that bring lunches\, eat at the grassy area right next to MOXI or walk down to the sitting wall at the beach. \nParking:  Most visitors park in the train station parking lot (right next to MOXI). The first 75 minutes are free and every additional hour is $3.00. There is limited free street parking nearby.
