DESCRIPTION:1:30-6:00pm \nACHEV Family BBQ and Potluck.  Come for the food\, fellowship\, encouragement and connection!  The whole family is invited and you are welcome to invite grandparents as well.   This is a great time to meet up with old friends in ACHEV and also meet new folks.  This is a great time for the kids\, having so many friends to play with all afternoon\, and a great time for moms and dads to visit with others on a similar journey.  We will also have boxes of free resources to look through\, so make sure to check that stuff out! \nACHEV will provide the main course\, condiments\, paper supplies & water.  RSVP is essential. Sign Up Here\nFamilies bring the sides. We will have electricity for plugging in crock pots. SUMMARY:Free Skate Party - End of School Year Celebration!
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Free end of school year private skating party at Skating Plus in Ventura.  ACHEV is really excited to host this event for our members free of charge. \nWhat: 2 hours of skating fun with Christian music\, and cupcakes. \nWho: ACHEV members all ages\, parents included\, and ACHEV Grads only. \nCost: Skating and skate rental is free for members\, parents and ACHEV Grads.  Only tell them you are going to skate if you actually intend to skate.  We won’t be charged for spectators.  Skating Plus offers concessions at their concession bar and you may purchase those items at your own expense.  There are also arcade type games that are available for additional cost. \nMISC: \n\nNO outside food or drink other than water.  We are permitted to bring cupcakes only for our party.  If you would like to bring cupcakes to share with the group\, please indicate that on the sign up sheet.\nYou are welcome to bring your own skates if you prefer\, but the rental skates are included with admission.\nThe Public skate session starts right after our private party\, and the GM said that our partygoers are welcome to stay for the public skate at no charge.  Just know that you will be skating with the public and they will play their regular music after 3:30.\n\nPlease RSVP here\n \n  \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:What: We are having a summer fun POOL PARTY!  Please join us for a fun evening of playing in the pool. enjoying each other’s company. and sharing good food! We can only have  50 people attend\, so please sign up soon! \nWhen: Saturday\, August 10th (RSVP by Wed Aug 7th) \nTime: 5pm to 9pm \nWhere: Los Posas Swim Club (details below). \nCost: $3 per person (swimming or not). $2.50 per person if we have 48- 50 people.  We will be sharing the cost of the lifeguard. \nDress Guidelines:  We recognize that everyone has a different idea of what modest dress is.  This is even more complicated when we are talking about swimwear.  Out of respect for each other\, our different viewpoints\, and recognizing the vulnerability of our young men and ladies\, we ask that all attendees follow these guidelines:  1) No exposed cleavage or abdomens\, this will probably mean most people will need to wear a rash guard/swim shirt or t-shirt. 2) No exposed gluteal folds\, this means that boys/men should wear swim trunks\, and girls/women should wear boy-short cut swim bottoms or a pair of trunks/board shorts/running shorts over her bathing suit or an oversized t-shirt.  3) If you need help finding appropriate attire\, try to borrow something\, I’m sure we can all help each other out. \nWhat to bring: \n-your own meat to BBQ and BBQ utensils \n-a side dish\, salad\, or dessert to share (We can have s’mores if someone wants to bring the supplies!) \n**We need one family to volunteer to bring charcoal and BBQ supplies (lighter and whatever else is needed).  Please note on the sign up sheet\, if you can help. \n***We also need one family to volunteer to bring wood and kindling to have a fire in the fire pit.  Please note on the sign up sheet\, if you can help. \n-your own drinks \n-pool towels and toys \n-jackets and blankets \nPlease sign up on the the google doc linked below. \nPool Rules: No glass bottles; No dangerous toys \nWe need everyone to pitch in and help clean up at the end of the night!  We need to remove all party decorations\, wipe down picnic tables\, and sweep/rinse cabana deck to remove all food debris. We need to empty all the trash cans into the dumpster at the street and extinguish fire in fire pit.  We also need to check the bathrooms for food/trash and cover the pool before we leave. \nThere will be a lifeguard at the pool party to help keep everyone safe\, however we would like everyone to watch their own children.  The lifeguard is not a babysitter. \nWe are only able to have 50 people attend.

SUMMARY:Fireworks Show & Potluck at the Burns Home
DESCRIPTION:Come watch the Camarillo High School fireworks show from the Burns’ front lawn.  Nicole Burns and family has invited us all to come and watch with them – they have a great view!  \nWhat to bring: Potluck item of your choice (the Burns will provide paper products as well as water and lemonade) and camp chairs/blankets. \nWhen: Come at 6:30 to potluck\, hang out and get a good parking spot.  You are welcome to come later as you are able.  The gates to the high school stadium open at 7 pm\, and people start parking in their neighborhood before that time.  Fireworks begin at 9:00 pm.  Listen to the KBBY 95.1 at 9 pm for music to accompany the fireworks. \nPlease RSVP here to let Nicole and your ACHEV friends to know you are coming.  RSVP is appreciated\, but not required.  You can also text Nicole at 805-444-1916 to rsvp. \n
