A Smuggler of the Best Quality
A book review on “God’s Smuggler” by Brother Andrew

When you read this book, you will not believe you are reading an autobiography. This book was the most gripping and amazing autobiography we have ever read and probably ever will read. This tale will take you to the Iron Curtain and you will meet a man who smuggles Bibles into the U.S.S.R.
When Andrew was young, he enjoyed playing tricks on the Nazis that occupied his home country of Holland, and imagined himself a spy behind enemy lines. He knew he had a hole in his life, and thought adventure would fill it. That was what induced him to join the military and fight in the Dutch West Indies. After his ankle was shot, Andrew could not walk without limping and was discharged. Then a miracle happened.
Andrew took what he called his ‘Step of Yes’ and his ankle was completely healed. He took that to mean he was to work in the mission field and eventually began to smuggle Bibles, first by the tens, then the hundreds, then the thousands. He went into many countries; but would he ever get out?
Most biographies are not very interesting. This one is. We rate this five out of five for its excellent plot, good ending, and was very well written. It’s one of those books that anyone would enjoy reading or listening to.
