Hello Friends! 🌳💎 Please join us for the Amazing Magic Mineral Show!!! 💎 ⛏⭐️Ventura Gem and Mineral Society will be coming to Juana Maria Park to give all our students the most amazing presentation and hands on demonstration on Magical Rocks!! VGMS was awarded best rock club in the nation! 🏆 VGMS does gem shows, field trips to search for cool rocks, fossils and gems like jasper, garnet, serpentine, agates, geodes, etc, lapidary instruction for making jewelry and use of their equipment, and have the best youth program. Here is a message from our presentor : 

“Sure, many gems and minerals are colorful and wonderful to look at, but beyond the beauty, some are absolutely magical!  Come to The Amazing Mineral Magic Show to learn about minerals with special properties, then sit down to play with a few to see their amazing effects for yourself, from minerals that float on water to ones that have magnetic personalities to still others that will have you seeing double. Jim Brace-Thompson of the Ventura Gem & Mineral Society will provide a brief introduction and will bring a treasure chest of polished stones so everyone can pick a treasure to take home along with a little flyer to give you a refresher about these stones and what causes their amazing properties.”

A wonderful, fun and educational presentation you can cross off for science class! Jim will give his rock presentation at 1pm at the tables, don’t miss it! Then he will stay at the tables for hands on demonstrations until about 3pm. 

This event is for all ages, kids, Teens and parents.  And it’s FREE!
